4 DAYS SAFARI QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most popular savanna park in Uganda and the best place to see lions including the Tree Climbing lions making it the perfect destination for a Uganda Wildlife Safari.

 

It prides in a great diversity of habitats that include: lakes, savannah grasslands, forests and wetlands that serve as home to the biggest variety of large mammals in the country.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

Meet your drive guide and embark on your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, this is a 7-hour drive with enroute at the Equator and lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre near Mbarara town and visit to the museum. Along the way you will go through Uganda's beautiful green countryside sighting the sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, tea plantations and sparkling water bodies. Check in at the lodge in the afternoon and later relax in either our sauna, spa or swimming pool overlooking the rolling savannah vegetation of the park.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise.

 

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for an early morning Game Drive within the park. Expect to see a number of wildlife including Buffaloes, Uganda Kob, Lions, Leopards and white Colubus monkeys. After the game drive, you will transfer to your lodge to rest as you wait to have your lunch. After lunch proceed to Mweya peninsular for a Launch Cruise along Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and Hippos. Return to the lodge for a second night.

Day 3: Chimp Trekking and Game Drive

 

After morning breakfast, proceed to Kyambura Gorge on the eastern side of the park for Chimpanzee Tracking. Kyambura Gorge is home to a variety of wildlife, including the only primates in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect to see redtailed monkey, black-and-white colobus and vervet monkeys as well as various bird species like falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater and others.

After trekking, go back to the lodge to rest and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, go for an evening game drive as the sun sets. The afternoon game drive introduces a level of excitement and character all its own, as predators begin their nightly search for prey. As the day cools and the sky becomes streaked by red, gold and orange hues, you may be surprised by the roar of a lion, the sight of a galloping giraffe, or the high pitched giggling of hyenas fighting over a kill. We can’t promise any particular encounter: only that you’ll see and experience things you’ve never seen or experienced before.

Day 4: Travel Back to Kampala

 

After breakfast, drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport for your flight out later in the evening. This day is reserved for evening flights through Entebbe International Airport or a post-night to be organized either in Kampala or Entebbe. You can request a postnight in advance.

This is the end of the safari.
